THE MOVEMENT EASTWARD
510 Seymour is another key chess piece in the steady eastward shift of the Vancouver business district. Many forces contribute to this shift: premiere regional transit access; the growing social capital of Gastown and Chinatown; the unique charm of surrounding heritage buildings; and the atmosphere of youth and energy in the neighbourhood. 510 Seymour is poised to take advantage of all of this – and support the movement eastward.
SOUTH VANCOUVER STARTS HERE
The existing 1960s hotel, surrounded by a massive surface parking lot, will soon transform into a lush transit-oriented residential quarter – anchored at its heart by a public park and daycare.
Serracan has teamed up with Walter Francl Architects for this extensive regeneration project. It’s set to change how the city sees this part of South Vancouver. Following an enhanced community consultation process with local residents, Serracan successfully rezoned the property into a new transit-oriented, mixed-use project, with a central park and roof garden flanked by four residential buildings.
Serviced by neighbourhood retail amenities, an on-site daycare and neighbourhood house, the project will stand as a key anchor on the revitalized new Fraser Street. The project received unanimous urban design panel approval, unanimous council approval, and remarkable community support.

Chief Executive Officer
Gino has an extensive 30+ year background in real estate investment, operations and development. His tenure has enabled him to oversee significant landmark and award-winning developments.
As founder of Serracan, Gino provides the overall leadership and strategic direction, including the diversification of its business interests. His long-term relationships within the industry have led to continuous opportunities of many kinds. This comprehensive experience informs the long-term strategy for Serracan.
Chief Operating Officer
John has 25 years’ experience in real estate development, design and construction. During this time, he has led and managed many major re-zonings and significant developments in over 20 municipalities including mixed-use, residential, retail, office, health services and industrial projects.
John provides overall leadership for Serracan’s operations with special emphasis on the growth of new development opportunities.
John combines his formal education in architecture and urban land economics with his business experience to discover new and creative ways to overcome our constrained geography. He is a former President of NAIOP Vancouver and a Facility Committee member of Presentation House Gallery (Polygon Gallery).
Chief Financial Officer
Carie is responsible for Serracan’s overall financial strategic direction and capital planning. With over 13 years’ experience in the real estate industry, Carie manages all aspects of budgeting, financial reporting, taxation, treasury and financing.
Prior to her current role, she spent over eight years with KPMG providing advisory services to a wide range of clients involved in various aspects of real estate development, investment, and management. During this time, she gained significant experience in designing optimal structures used in the development of real estate assets, an expertise in the provision of tax advisory services in connection with mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, estate and succession planning, as well as in-depth knowledge of general corporate and personal tax planning.
Carie is a Chartered Professional Accountant and holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from Simon Fraser University.
